for any of you los angeles folks...
my film (link (http://www.gelbin.org/clammy)) is showing tomorrow (tuesday, june 8th) at the director's guild in LA... there are 3 blocks of films (from nyu) in roughly 1.5 hour shots. my film is showing in the 5:30 PM block (the other two blocks are 7 and 830)..
the dga is at 7920 w. sunset blvd. i don't know anything about LA, but i guess i'll find out soon enough as i'm leaving in a few hours.
anyways, if anyone wants to come check it out, feel free. admission and parking are free.

Auggggh. I'm out of town only one night this month: June 8th. Can't you get them to change the date of the entire film festival, just to suit me? I'm really sorry, because I had planned to go.

Good Luck with the film J Lo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it either, unless it gets run in Minnesota.

it's a good thing you are coming to los angeles now instead of later in the summer when it's terribly hot ;)...i visit family there every august...will your film be available for sale or for viewing in los angeles after your premiere showing tomorrow?

hah. so i assume no one was able to make it eh?
the screening was good. in each block of films the audience picked their favorite... i didn't win my block, but i know for a fact that i got the vote of a couple of older ladies... my brother saw them write down my film name. whoo
but oh well, 4 minute animation vs 25 minute live action films with budgets of 40K+ is a tough competition... that's ok. got plenty of laughs
film is not for sale exactly... but if someone wants a dvd of it, i could probably pull it off. i've been making dvds of the film with 2 earlier versions of it for comparison.. most people (especially non 3d animators) enjoy seeing the way it progresses
agreenster- have fun at siggraph. don't expect too much in the way of job chances though, there's sooooooo many people. hah. i went last year... was definitely cool/fun though
