hey everyone,
i bought the sims 2 for my mac a few months ago, but lost the disk and decided to try downloading a torrent to replace it. everything downloaded fine; i moved the installation file to my HD as the readme said to, but when i double click it to launch, i get this error:
"a required resource was not found. please re-install the sims 2."
i've scoured yahoo! answers, as well as google, and one suggestion i heard was to create a disk image using roxio toast and mount it, to "fool" my mac into thinking i had inserted a cd. i've tried this, but still have the same problem. can anyone help me?
