Type anything like James, London, iWeb, BBC etc and the iPhone captiolises them for you.

Type jesus, god, christ, buddah, etc and it doesn't.

Well, I found that interesting.

Technically it shouldn't capitalize god regardless of anything, since the lower case spelling has its own distinct meaning from the capitalized God.

^And on top of that Jesus is a common name used by many Latinos, just its pronounced "hey-zeus" so it should be capitalized as well. I guess I should take my iPhone to church more often

which god would they capitalize? i mean if they were to go through list of hundreds maybe thousands of gods and capitalized all of them, we would call them polytheistic and that might be worse then atheist. Or even worse capitalize only one god and im sure an apple retail store would go up in flames somewhere. We have a hard enough time keeping god out of government lets keep it out if technology for sure!

I just reset my dictionary, and mine also capitalizes "jesus" & "christ". Also, Firefox's dictionary is underlining those words with corrections of Jesus & jests and Christ & chrism, respectively. Interesting. I'm agnostic and not offended.

(1) My iPhone capitalizes Jesus, Christ, and Buddha (if you spell it correctly). It doesn't capitalize "god," the only one of the four examples which can be appropriately used in lower case.

(2) And more importantly, there have been plenty of threads on the idiosyncrasies of autocorrection on the iPhone and there really doesn't need to be another one....
