I have a G4, 10.2.8, it has a superdrive. I have a PC with a 4 CD version of 10.4 install, all 4 files end in .dmg, When i burn the first (bootable) 10.4 install CD to s disc and put it in the Mac, and press C during reboot, nothing happens.

What, exactly, does 10.2.8 need to be able to boot from a disc? When I opened Nero to burn a data disc of the .dmg files, it actually saw them as .iso files. I burned it anyway. I also tried just dragging the .dmg to the CD drive and writing it with windows as a data drive, thinking that 10.2.8 just needs to see the .dmg file to work, but apparently not.

On windows you need to burn the info in ISO format, which can be done by nero, you cant just burn a data DVD.

So, how to i burn a .dmg 10.4 disc on a PC so that it will boot in 10.2.8?

thanks, roger

.dmg s usually mean you're trying to install a pirated copy. Helping with pirated software is against the forum rules.

Buy a real copy of Tiger or Leopard. You can get them cheap off eBay.

There is no program to burn dmg's in Windows. dmg is a Mac format.
