Why would I bother paying Apple the shipping fee for a copy of Snow Leopard (when it is released) for my qualifying Mac mini, when I can download it legally, FOR FREE?!.
If the only reason they want me to pay them £7.95, is to cover P&P, well then I'll save myself the money/bother, save them the work required to pack and ship it/save the environment, and download it myself via ADSL!.

Someone care to tell me HOW this is immoral, seeing as my Mac mini qualifies for the upgrade, and it would be free anyway...

When did Apple announce it would be available for free / legal download? Why do you think this is the case?

And assuming they didn't, then... basically, what you're complaining about, is that in that alternate situation, Apple would have the gall to offer nominal priced purchase of media for users who couldn't or didn't want to make a large download?

EDIT: Ahh, you're saying that Apple's claim that the cost covers P&P justifies you pirating it, since they didn't say you actually had to pay for SL, but rather only for P&P.... Yeah, no, we don't need to do this flame war.
