I have been researching places to go for vacation. I emailed a bed and breakfast. The innkeeper wrote back from his iPhone, and the following was his sig...

"Sent via David's Mobile iPhone 3Gs"

A. he already signed the message David prior to the sig line. Who else's phone would he be sending it from and why would anyone care if it's David's phone or not?

B. is there a non-mobile iPhone?

C. does anyone need to know or care that it's a 3GS?

Based solely on the guy's toolbag signature, I am looking elsewhere to stay.

This line made my day. Who knew that we've come to the day where an email signature would impact someone's willingness to stay at a B&B.

Good luck in your search! Please promise me something though... you won't stay with a BB owner... that's worse than this tool, for sure.

At least he is an Apple user (though not a very savvy one). You COULD stay with someone who replied "Sent from David's PalmPre/Android/Blackberry...etc"

I don't think DAVID IS the toolbag. And I'm glad you decided to go elsewhere as I am sure David is based on your snobbery. If I ran a B&B and some jackhole had that kind of attitude- I wouldn't want their business.

Really... you felt the need to post this? You must be proud AND feel so superior now. Congrats!

What a stupid thread. Talk about being a mac/apple elitist.

You actually started a thread to rip a guy down. You started a thread to belittle a guy who you have never met, know nothing about and have no idea what his story is. Yes from a professional standpoint maybe he could create a better signature, but to create a whole new thread to bitch about it?!

Oh and I notice your signature for Macrumors is just a link to a website for tee-shirts? Is that your company? Well I would never buy anything from your company because this post offended me. Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Where are the forum Mods? This is the type of drivel that should never be posted here and is why this forum is going down the crapper. For every 1 decent helpful post there seems to be about 100 **** filled whiney bitches complaining about "will Apple give me a new iPhone? I used this one for a week and now its not new anymore... waaa waaa"

Only 6 exclamation marks and 8 question marks? That's not nearly enough to get what you want.

Obviously, the more exclamation and question marks u use, the better. And bigger font. BIGGER I SAY.
