I know its a happy fathers day for me. The spawn is at scout camp :) Better yet, he paid for it himself!

The glamor that is fatherhood, but my wife got me a cordless drill for father's day, so I am pretty pumped. :)

Funny how they get jewelry and flowers for Mother's Day and we get tools. :)

Not complaining - I got a table saw. And I'm VERY happy with that. Happier than I would have been with earrings. ;)

I was shopping yesterday for a gift for my dad, but I couldn't find anything I thought he'd like. I was still out shopping at dinner time, so I took a break and tried a new Hawaiian-themed restaurant. It was very good and I noticed they sold gift certificates. Problem solved!

my oldest daughter (3 1/2) gave me a handmade card, sang me a funny song and gave me a big hug...my youngest( 8 weeks) gave me a big smile and my wife let me sleep in. so not too bad of a day...

though a table saw does sound pretty darn nice.

Got the same from my 3 1/2 year old daughter. It's a great age!

Ever notice at church on...

Mother's Day, the moms are praised for all they do :)

while on

Father's Day, the dads are challenged for what they aren't doing

I have found that I am LESS like my dad than I would like to be,
while my son is MORE like me than I would like!

I took my little 4 year old to the circus - they set up in the park across the road from my house (very cool!). In fact, I'd forgotten it was Fathers Day - but had only JUST remembered that Oscar had made me a card at school in the week.

It's great being a dad.

:)

Interesting. Today at church we were told to thank our Dads, but to also remember who our true father is, and to make sure and thank Him too. :)

I got my dad a gift certificate to Border's since he loves that place. I only saw him for a few minutes though, he left to go buy something at Home Depot.
