I posted this in a thread as a reply, but I wanted to share it with everyone..

Funny story.. you all know when the iPhone came out, there were a lot of counterfeits coming from china.. well after my husband spent 1100 bucks at the apple store getting 2 iphones and every accessory that they had, I had some kid that was friends with my sister, tell me that his aunt got him 3 iphones.. (pshhhhh yeah right) and that he was going to have back ups.. well i asked him and hounded him for weeks to let me see it.. and he always had an excuse.. then i saw him in town.. there he was with his iPhone, or lack there of. It was a cheap-o counterfeit.. i said.. well.. that looks umm.. interesting.. he said yea, it is an upgrade from yours.. rightttt... a few weeks later.. there he was back to using his old phone.. i asked him what happened.. and he said, and I quote, "i had to give them back, they were fakes." wow. Apparently, his "aunt" or whoever the woman was, got in trouble with the law, for buying and selling counterfeit apple products which had violated copyright laws with Apple. This crazy woman had "Macbooks, iPhones, and iMac Computers" anyway.. she had sold to hundreds of people and word got around, people were complaining because the computers would work for a week or two and just start freezing up, and people knew, well they HAD to of known that they were fakes. She was selling the iphones for 800, the iMacs for 2500, and the Macbooks for 3000. The money was reimbursed to the people and she is still paying off fines.. All of the products were confenscated and the kids "3 iPhones" were the biggest crock of bull I have ever saw in my life..

it just amazed me how it all unfolded right before my very eyes.. it gave me a good laugh..

[EDIT]: The numbers may (probably) be off.. this was coming from the kid.. so as much BS as he has told before, I am sure.. just sharing what I know about the story. But the story was in the paper, so I do know it happened, but like I said, the numbers may be off..

I call BS. Why would anyone pay 2 1/2 times retail for an obviously fake MacBook when they could go to the Apple Store and buy one for $1300?

idk. not real sure why.. this is what i was told by the guy.. so I mean the numbers could be BS, but I do know that it was in the paper that she was caught.. so that, is NO bs. So, the numbers may be off.. also what was the price on those same computers 2 years ago?

You... are... right... partially...

Dictionary.com: A mark or marks to indicate an omission or suppression of letters or words. The most common form of an ellipsis is a row of three periods or full stops.

Let's cry about it.. :(

 Fake Apple products are funny to look at, haha. I found one guy selling a whole bunch of iPhones and iPods that were obviously fake at a flea market. We challenged him and he insisted that they were the real deal. He has the "iPhone" connected to his laptop with a mini-USB cable!

The best part is that as we were looking at the display, a video starts playing on his computer and it was quite obviously a porno, haha! He scrambled to mute it but we were already laughing. :D

How much was he selling them for? I like finding fake apple products and keeping them around for the fun of it!

Actually, ellipses are oval shapes :D (OK, it's also the plural of ellipsis). An ellipsis is three periods separated by spaces, i.e. ". . ." and is generally used to show omission of words (either superfluous or understood from context) from a sentence. What the OP wanted was four unseparated periods ("....") more commonly used to show a trailing thought.

(Though, to get technical, an ellipsis can also be used to act like etc. in showing a continuation of a sequence, or "to show a trailing off, interruption of, or pause in speech or thought in order to create dramatic, rhetorical, or ironic effects." --Oxford Style Manual Though the OUP discourages this use and it is mainly attached to British English—the "four periods" being more common in American English.)

OMFG.... <-notice correct use of ellipses

They could make millions selling t-shirts. Perhaps some cropping and a trip to cafepress.... <-oops, I did it again

I have always used "..." to trail off a thought. It sucks to know I have been wrong the majority of my life... <-- FML

Since you apparently already posted this story once already, the Associated Press called to inform us that they are running out of punctuation marks, and so in consideration of the need for timely news we are giving them your thread, which should tide them sometime into the next century. ;)
