I have a Panasonic UJ-225 Blu ray player installed on my 17" early 2008 Macbook Pro. I installed Windows XP Home Edition and installed Power DVD Ultra. I am able to access Blu rays fine. But i get stuttering video when playing them.
I talked to a friend, and he said that the drive needs to be able to work in Ultra DMA mode. Is the 2008 non unibody MBP capable of Ultra DMA mode with its optical drive?
