At the last AppleExpo I was speaking to a Apple UK Manager (I am not saying which, I don't want him fired)
He said that Apple would not release a new digital device in any field that another product was exceptionally well in, for instance he said there would be no scanner or digital camera due to Canon and no printer due to Epson.
