So I got Photoshop CS4 and I keep getting the "license for this product has expired" error.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still nothing. I tried downloading JUST the trial of CS4, STILL the error shows up. It seems as if Adobe still knows my history of dowloading it somehow in some trace of a hidden system file that I can't seem to get rid of.

The only other option I can consider would be to wipe out my HD and reinstall the OS. But would this get rid of the problem if i just archived and reinstalled it, meaning just getting rid of the system files?

Or would I have to move my entire HD to an external and then wipe it clean and put it back?

Thanks very much in advance! :D

Download a demo of an uninstaller program, and try to remove it that way. Does help.

Edit - Just noted another thread on the issue, sort of. CS4 uninstaller (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html)

I tried doing this and when I clicked on the program again it opened this program called Console. What is Console?

...looks like programming language. Hope i didn't royally screw anything up. :(
