anybody seen this?
on one drive i have both 9.2 and X on it...the other i just have X...
booting to 9.2 is no problem...
but booting to X...90% of time it hangs on a grey screen...it just stops?
what might i try to do to get around this?
i really like os x so far...but i'm stumped as to how it works at this point...
thanks...jv

What kind of software have you installed on OS X?
Have you installed anything that gave you a message like "This will update the Kernal" ?
Any beta software?
And beta drivers for mouse or other exterals?
Ever get a kernal Pannic? (thats when it dumps text on your screen and crashes)
What version of OS X are you running? Do you have the recovery disks or origonal OS X install CDs?

no...i haven't installed anything into os x yet...no betas for anything...
no kernal notices...
yes, i have a REAL installation disk...i paid my money for this...
it's version 10.1.3...would it do any good to update to the 10.1.5?
when it did work yesterday for awhile...damn, it was nice...it was like working with butter...

this happened to me before, I booted in 9 run techtool pro and it was fixed, I had no idea what happened, no kernal panics, no nothing, and there was a time where I couldn't log in, then I reinstalled and it fixed itself........ hmmm

well I had to reinstall OSX, you just boot from OSX and instead of installing OSX again and losing your settings you just install it over it and it changes the old files over with new ones, worked with mine
