IMovie Can't open my mpgs

Howdy y'all.

I have a Sony Mavica and when I take short video clips on it and try to open them using IMovie, I can't. Is there a way around this or an app that will convert?

iMovie should only be able to load DV format videos. If you can get the video on to your computer w/o iMovie you should be able to convert the mpeg to DV format using Quicktime Pro. Then, you should be able to open the DV from iMovie.

No guarentees, but try it. :cool:

Thanks for the suggestions. Don't have QTP nor want to buy it. I'll figure it out eventually... thanks anyway.

you will need QT6 for it to work, which is annoying cause if you found a movie on the net you want to edit you can't, are theer any third party apps thats do this?
