Just got my 17".... Booted it up for the first time just minutes ago... My my did it feel good.
Running all of the software updates as I type this...
But I'm wondering, how do I make sure I've got the 128 VRAM, and also the 5400 rpm that I requested?
Anywhere to check in OS X?

System Profiler (Applications > Utilities > System Profiler) will tell you how much memory your video card has, and will tell you the model of the drive, though not the RPM.

the check the vram, go the the apple on the top left corner and click on about this mac. and then click on more info.. and then pci/agp cards and then display and it should tell you how many mb your video card is using. Not too sure about the harddrive though

hmmm shouldnt it say in your invoice?
you could try to reference he model number
or open ur mac up, i dont know any software that can tell you
although you can run xbench and compare it to ppl who have 5400 drives and if your scores are similar then you can assume that its 5400 although not with 100% certainty
