Okay, so I was pretty stoked to see the new iMac come out, and I gotta admit, I actually like it.
They kept the same price and best of all, for the same price you can get a upgraded, better model than the last one.

So, I went on MR and all I see is people crying over it.
If you hate this model so damn much, why won't you just shut up and stop crying about it?!

Yes, it doesn't have Bluray on it, but who gives a damn about that?
I mean, if you buy that many Bluray movies, wouldn't you at least want to watch it on your TV? Rather than sit in a computer chair and watch it?
I mean, if you guys were looking forward to seeing some MAJOR BIG breakthrough in the iMac line.. you're all dumbasses.

They just upgraded it enough to make people want to get a Mac over the new Windows 7.

And complaining and annoying people on forums about it won't make the iMacs any better whatsoever.

Most people here complain about the lack of a Bluray drive, user upgradeable HDD, and one guy actually said he likes his iMacs small so he can carry them with him? WTF?
Since when do people carry desktops with them like they're some kind of portable devises that are meant to be carried over somewhere. And I think that 1TB of space is more than enough. If you need more, you could buy up to 4-6TB of external space. And if 1TB is too small for you, get a Mac Pro and customize the hell out of it.

If you're not happy with it, I'm very sorry about your disappointment.
But no one promised you anything, and like I said, you crying about it won't make the iMacs any better and Steve Jobs isn't gonna make one just for you.

Now, I would like to hear someone who actually did buy a iMac and their opinions about it. Not the people who went on cnet and saw the 5 minute video, in which all they said was the nice screen size upgrade.

You obviously haven't hung around long enough to realize this is the least amount of bitching I've EVER seen on MR after a new release and therefore Apple must have really really got it right this time.

Seriously, it is quiet right now. And the silence is golden.

Agree... Apple has never said they had any intentions of releasing blue-ray drives. It would be nice but it would be a killer for iTunes and probably significantly drive up the cost of the machine due to licensing requirements that would probably be an outrageous expense considering the love/hate relationship that Apple shares with the entertainment industry.

I agree. The lack of BluRay is the only major gripe I have about it.

Blu-ray Schmu-ray.

I have a big screen and couches for that.
