has anyone gotten widescreen to work on a powerbook 17"?

i've tried entering the thing into the console that is supposed to allow you to play call of duty widescreen. i am using a powerbook 17". after i type in vid_restart and press enter, the screen restarts and everything but no matter what resolution i typed in in the console, it always refreshes to the same, non-widescreen resolution i was using before. has anyone gotten widsecreen to work on a powerbook, especially the 17" one?

Did you try width 1440 and heighth 900? :confused:
