Dude, relax. You can't get annoyed if people are not "with you" on being upset that 10.6.2 has not been released as of yet. When you create threads, you need thick skin because you will get mixed responses.
That being said, 10.6.1 works decent for my Macs in my house, yes, it could use an update to address bugs but it's not that serious and personally, I can wait until Apple gets all the fixes bundled so 10.6.2 will be worth the wait. :)

No attacks I saw. Did someone call you names? No, just a bunch of loons having fun. Myself, I realized I'd go bananas and start flinging poo if I got too personally worked up waiting for the next OSX/Mac/iPhone/whatever release.
Most folks have similar methods of dealing with the anticipation, it appears. Someone has gravy in their pockets, I understand. Now, I'd rather have bananas, but that leads to misunderstandings. That's just me.

As for "get a life" - have you ever noticed that when people use that it's a bit hypocritical? You started a thread because you're uber-impatient "Wow - still no 10.6.2 today!" and we should get a life? Now I see why so many defensive snarks hit this thread up.
Maybe Apple is trying to figure out how to keep Rebel EFI from working…and they are having a difficult time.
Or maybe apple is having a difficult time with the complete data loss bug.
Or maybe Apple's stock is entirely too overvalued, so here comes a reason or two to plunge that stock, like a buggy OS that Apple is taking its sweet time on fixing.
There are many bugs in SL, if you are not experiencing any good for you, some of us do more than browse the web and email with our computers.

I really don't think so. When you go for a drive, do you re-route when you discover a mosquito in your planned path?
Or maybe apple is having a difficult time with the complete data loss bug.
It has never been a "complete data loss". It's happened to a select unfortunate few. Never happened to me. Has it to you? Didn't think so. Don't make mountains out of sand grains.
Or maybe Apple's stock is entirely too overvalued, so here comes a reason or two to plunge that stock, like a buggy OS that Apple is taking its sweet time on fixing.
Now you are just hallucinating. If that were ever to be proven true, people are going to jail.
There are many bugs in SL, if you are not experiencing any good for you, some of us do more than browse the web and email with our computers.
There are many bugs in everything. Since you are the advanced uber user, have you taken the time and effort to document these bugs, and submit them to Apple via Feedback? I mean, since you are doing all these advanced things which are not surfing or email, think you might find time to tell Apple about all these bugs? Or does it feel better to hang around various forums and complain about nothing specific?
As a side note, I just gone done installing Windows 7 on another PC. it seems fairly decent, kinda quick, no vast suckage as was in Vista. Why don't you go buy a copy of 7 and be done with all the trouble you're having with OS X? Nothing but pain and headaches here. Grass is greener over in Windows land. I'm sure you'll be happier, for a little while.

No OS release is fully perfect. 10.6.2 will have its own problems which will be fixed in 10.6.3 which will introduce its own new problems and it goes on like that forever. So they don't need to admit anything, everyone already knows it's impossible to make a capable enough OS totally bugfree.

Speculation is never actually as good as a real news report.. apple are one of the best in the biz in actually making money from just announcing something like an OS x.x.x release.
The stuff that macrumors puts up is just research and further insight/speculation so there never was actually a geniune report as such from apple..
At you being dismayed with apple, they are working to remove alot of the botch code, and make it more solid, supporting more printers, network devices.. etc etc so why wouldnt you want them to make it as solid as possible? thus taking a bit longer to work on it.. i'd much they do it right, or at least get it 90% there, then there are less upgrades at later date.

And they are fixing.
10.6.2 introduces 150+ bug fixes. A new seed was released this week for testing.
A little insight into the industry, the first version (and the first fixes) of many software packages are normally still very buggy, case in point with both Tiger and Leopard which didn't start getting fully stable until the second round of serious bug fixes, because they get a reasonably stable system out in the first round of fixes. I see Snow being no different, and they will not rush out the bug fixes with the potential of introducing more serious bugs. imagine the guest account bug (which at this time is limited) being made more widespread by a botched fix.
I am at a lessons learned meeting from a botched round of fixes to a bespoke software package we use at work. I actually made the call to roll back to the previous version. Imagine the embarrassment of Apple releasing 10.6.2, finding a more serious bug and sending out another update that rolls back Macs to 10.6.1 . It doesn't bear thinking about.
And FYI Apple is fully aware of the issues with Snow Leopard. Their attitude is "better the devil you know", a very common view in the industry.

Should we go ahead and queue the 10.6.3 wait threads?

can I get a double-wow, because it is a Tuesday.
now Apple has a popular hardware issue with iMacs and a late update not fixing it yet.
every day with no fixes, and Apple's stock bleeds some
more. and users get more mad.
flame away, I expect it at this forum…
Do you have any idea what the hell you are talking about?? Really do you??? If so please enlighten us on how an update will raise the stock price? Please tell us how..... I mean really, the stock market has not gone down at all this past few weeks. I mean the stock market didn't loose some points on friday at all....

I'll give you a double-meh. How's that? Tuesdays are rarely OS-update-days. I've already proven that to you.

Late? Was there some kinda release date or deadline Apple missed?

Again, stock price has nothing to do with looming OS updates. You might wanna see how the NASDAQ Index is doing in the same time frame. Is this lack of an update affecting the entire market?

I see gilkisson has already taken care of this for you.

Since the patch version is increased by 1 or 2 depending on your base OS, that gets reported to shareholders. This fascinates them and they start buying more stock.
When Leopard users convert, it increases tenfold. You didn't know that?

There IS NO performance "bug" with the new iMacs. Period.
Yes Snow Leopard uses a lot of CPU power for Flash but that's on any Intel system.
Until Apple changes over to a pure Cocoa framework for it's video AND Adobe changes it's Flash over to Cocoa that "bug" will exist.
Oh and point releases usually happen on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

So folks, is 10C535 the latest Beta build of Snow Leopard 10.6.2 update, and when is the update actually due?. Is it overdue?. I'm running the 10C535 build, but I sure would like to know WHEN it is due.
Thanks

Why do people keep on thinking it would be released on a Tuesday? It can be released anytime in a week except on a weekend if for some reason they had to put it up on a weekend which I doubt that would happen. After what happened with the Atom BS who knows if Apple will reconsider since I witness a lot bitching about that also. 10.6.2 would probably be not release by end of this month or until next year. It is obvious apple is trying to fix more than what 10.6.2 list of fixes were and plus they want to make sure everything works perfectly before releasing to the public. Yes I know I experienced few of the issues a lot of you have with Snow Leopard especially the Open CL crashes but I can still work around it.
I rather get a perfect 10.6.2 release rather than a 10.6.1 type of release lmao.

How is it overdue? Apple have never given a release date.

Jobs told me they won't release 10.6.2 until each of you donate 5 bucks to his paypal.

Is 10.6.2 expected to cure cancer or something? I don't get the over anticipation for a point update.

Because snow leopard sucks so bad for most of us, but we like to have the feature and power without the extra kernal panics and freezes, so we are really excited about 10.6.2 so we can go BACK to SL.

Most of us??? Don't you mean "relatively few of us". I have been running 10.6.x problem free since the day of release and I did an upgrade install.

haha, it is the same one!
BTW, are you trying to eschew discussion at a Mac discussion forum?
I guess if the discussion is not painting Apple in the most positive light then it is OK here at MacRumors, right?
(The whole tag-team of bois are back)
P.S. Every day I read around the forums I find out about an additional SL bug.
"Apple's Vista?" ….the jury is still out.

Are you that dense to not have realized this thread and another made today were merged?
Since the rest of your post is based on the same misguided assumption I won't be responding to the rest of your nonsensical rant.

Can you please point out where I am not calm? I don't see how pointing out his error in responding to my post (from another thread) suggests I have things in my anal cavity. And where did I claim I was King? This is new to me.

I wish I had your ability to read a person's state of mind over the Internet. That would be a handy skill.
And again, how am I rude and offensive? Are you not the one who just said I had a wooden pole up my ...? Who needs to apologize here? I already reported you for your blatantly offensive comment.
