diablo2 video problem

on my imac i played diablo2 and everything was fine but i turned it on today and in full screen mode it has black bars on the side but its not a wide screen monitor so why would the game be like that instead of actually fitting full screen like before

Not many details but make sure your monitor resolution is correct and hold down the [Option] key when starting Diablo II. Make sure it works before you click OK.
