OP, if you would be a little more specific in which types of games you are interested in, people might be willing to be of more help.

I think that any game from EA, whether directly or through Aspyr, or any game from Blizzard will work. Then again, I've only played Sim City 4 natively on the Mac, so I could be wrong.

Let's give a couple of options I like playing:
- Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
- X-Plane 9
- Race Driver 3
- Colin McRae 2005 (okay... bit old.. but fun)
TBO, I also find the occasional "Cidered" PC game on dah webb, which are perfectly playable in Mac OS X, like GTA San Andreas. That game does make me laugh out loud.. especially using the cheats. :D

If you want to game, with a majority of recent releases, then install Windows via bootcamp. The releases for mac are few and far between as mac isn't specifically a gaming platform. However, Macs can be capable of it with
Windows installed. Otherwise play the ports to OSX. There are some really
good ones like the above poster listed!
If installing Windows isn't an option for you, it should be if you have a copy
of Windows laying around, then just game on a 360 or PS3. I love how these
threads pop up so much. They can be solved by a google search, or looking
at the barren wasteland of Mac games in stores.
Windows is a viable option though for Mac gaming!
*edit, they're even capable without Windows installed. Macs are great machines.

any blizzard game made after (and including) starcraft is Mac Native too, so fire up WoW and diablo.
WoW for mac is better than windows imo because of the integrated itunes and video recording.
there is also CoD4, Red Alert 3, Bioshock, Spore, to name a few.
Also, floating around on "less than reputable" parts of these fine internets are various "cider" ports, including GTA:SA, CoDMW2, and L4Dead. Just gotta know where to look, and I am not currently able to name them on this forum.
....fine... TPB.

But you can obviously run Windows Games under WINE, Crossover, Virtual Machine Program or Bootcamp.

I'm running Fallout 3 via Boot Camp (win XP) now. Performance is excellent.
Just check the sys req of the game you're interested in and compare it with your specs.

You can play all PC titles with Boot Camp and a copy of Windows. I'm playing Assassin's Creed right now, going to get 2 as soon as it comes out.
