View Full Version : When will Apple release an EDGE iPhone?

I was using my friend's phone and his phone said "EDGE." I asked him what that was and he said it was an alternative network service. He said most phones now are 3G and there are few phones that are EDGE. I just bought my iPhone not too long ago, and now it may become useless if Apple makes an EDGE iPhone.

Umm... EDGE is the 2G Network. 3G is well...3G and more advanced. Your iPhone can use 3G or EDGE, it defaults to 3G if it can, as 3G is faster. Welcome to the forums.

EDGE??? Even "searching" for EDGE would've answered this question.

However, how could you not have heard of this after all the posts you've made? And since July???

The OP has Jailbroken their iPhone, seems that their knowledge would likely include the knowledge of networks. The OP has also mentioned the iPhone 3GS as specifically flopping, seems they know the differences between the models.

bwahaha, I remember some of those. Pure gold. not up to the standard of guy who started the "iphone 3GS hot like pizza" thread soon after its release, but still not bad.
