You think that the 17 inch widescreen Imac is a sign of things to come?
I know this has been talked about sooo much. The replacement of the 15 with a widescreen 17 (with res of imac would be nice) then replace 17 with widescreen 19, drop the 22 inch.
Think they will do this in august?
Just wondering...

I thought the Titanium Powerbooks were a sign of this! :D
I think Apple may be gradually moving away from 4:3 monitors to 16:10 monitors. (I realize widescreen goes to 16:9, but with 16:10 the difference isn't so big. Besides, 16:10 are easier numbers to deal with (well, really it's 8:5).) But I also think Apple MAY be trying to cut down on the cost of monitors as well. A 4:3 would yield more LCD to use than a 16:10 or 16:9.

Hey, that's my idea!:D
I've been speculating this for months, really. And I see it happening eventually - but in August? Maybe, but more likely MWSF at the earliest.

hard to think of losing the 22", though its sales aren't the best huh? look at the price..... I'd buy up the 17" in a minute if it were closer to the 15" range...

in the short term a new 17" wide-screen and they'll drop the 15 altogether. I think the 22's staying a while though along with the 23".
