My Logo Competition (w/ reward)

Hey,

I am new here and heard you guys are the best with this stuff. So here goes:

I have a YouTube channel over at http://youtube.com/thedevirkahan with close to 150 dedicated subscribers. I am in desperate need of a new logo. The one I have now I threw together a year or so ago and no doubt sucks. What I want from one of you is a new, awesome, cool, logo/avatar/icon (keep that in mind when you make it though - it can't be too complex, it must work as an avatar - you know what I mean....). I would much like it to have something to do with a cartooned, or graphically created, version of my face too.

Of course though, I would not expect you to do this for no reward, so here is the deal. Whoever makes this for me (everyone gets number one, my favorite logo gets 1 and 2), will get two things: http://www.flickr.com/photos/devirkahan/4183715796/#

1. A coupon to ThinkGeek.com (http://thinkgeek.com) - if you have not heard of them, then go there - now. They have the BEST tech gadgets and gizmos. They have a ton of stuff for photography too!

2. Publicity. If you have a website, a blog, photo-stream, or any link you want me to promote, I will do that on my channel. Like I said, I have about 150 really dedicated subscribers and I can GUARANTEE than you will see a lot more traffic after I thank you and link to you on my channel.

So, what do you say? It needs to be high-res (I'll scale it down myself for avatars, and icons), and I am really looking forward to this. Let the fun begin

While not an unreasonable request, this isn't really the best place to solicit logo design work.

Perhaps you should posit this question to your YouTube subscribers? Or talk to an acquaintance who dabbles in design?

Or if you would like to have another go at it and post it here, we will be happy to offer advice and a critique.

im just trying to get this thread wastelanded so you have to either DIYit, which you probably should given you audience size and lack of budget or hire a real designer to do it.

I'm not going to rip you a new one, claiming that you're asking for thousands of dollars' worth of work for nothing — that would be ludicrous — but — and admittedly my conjecture may be way off — I'm suspicious that these "coupons" are of no actual value.

And that's worse than offering nothing.
