How do I "reset" my iBook G3?

I might have to sell it and if I do I need to get all of the information and songs and all of that kind of stuff off of the computer. What do I do to do that?

I know my dad has done it several times on our PC but I can't remember exactly what he did

you have to format the hard drive one way to do this is boot from your osx cd then go into disk utility and erase the harddrive
