Cydia Apps

How come when im at cydia (i have a ipod touch 3g tethered jailbreak) they dont have any apps that are either good or apps im looking for. they dont have any popular apps or is it just something wrong with my cydia and stuff? when i use the search for it, it comes up with nothing for the apps i want. Thank you for all your help !

What kind of apps are you looking for? Official apps aren't going to appear in cydia. Make sure you have "community sources" installed (it should be installed by default), and most of the common cydia packages should display.

Like the popular apps you see in the app store, like it says top paid apps and free top apps, those kind of apps. the games in cydia are like not known and not much variety. is there something that has most of the ipod's popular apps if you know what im saying.

TBH if you are looking for games cydia is not the place. You usually just get non-apple sanctified stuff there. If you are wanting App Store apps, use the app store plain-and-simple. If you are looking to avoid paying for these things, then this is not the place to ask that question. I condone paying for all your apps. :D

If you are looking for tweaks or themes for example, then cydia is the place!! :)

Is there a place just for downloading apps? instead of the app store because i want the apps that you normally have to pay for. Isn't thats the point of jb an ipod? to get some good apps? Thanks for all your help !

That's what I just said. Discussion about "cracked/not paying for apps" is against the Forum Rules here. Pay for your apps, and support their wonderful developers.

Jailbreaking an iPod is for so much more than pirating. It's about doing things that apple doesn't allow, like awesome customizations, tweaks and more control over your iPod.
