it looks promising, as an escape velocity fan i always wandered what it would be like in 3d online with thousands of people.

It does look awesome. But I've never really gone for mmorpg because of the monthly fee. That just isn't fun...

there is joystick support btw

i think i'l only get it if a whole bunch of people i know get it, as you can have many people controling one ship different people in turrets and piloting fighters ect. :D

It sucks... no where near as fun as EV. The dev team is too small, and they've had to cut far too much of their ideas to get it done. Try back in two years maybe.

ev games are good but they a have no replay value, i would love an online version of ev:nova

The monthly fees and lack of MMORPG playing friends are what keeps me from playing these type of games.

There was a thread about this game a few days ago. How long did it take you to get in? They still have't emailed me back

Btw EVN has replay value

They had a public beta going on a while ago. Anybody was allowed to play. It was a pain to download and install everything so I gave up mid-way installing.

I'll wait for the full version and hopefully they'll have a trial version available.

I'm running vendetta online (i signed up for the beta little over a week ago), but sometimes it runs like a slideshow on my powerbook 1.33 ghz. i've also turned the graphics all the way down ... :(
The game is promising though ...

Blasphemy!! The kestrel does not "suck" its rather quite good. But keep in mind its an Escort frigate not a full out warship. It's called Nil'Kmas and you can always play the mods.

Ok thats my EV rant :o

Graal is 2d and is supported on all systems. PC, Mac and Linux. So as long as you have OS X you can mix and mingle with everyone who plays graal. Guess its not pc really. Its Windows, so just look at PC as Windows. I don't feel like hitting delete and changing it, yet I feel like adding this edit to show people my mistake.

Graal for OS X never worked at all, although they claimed to have fixed it at one point. But when they soon discovered that nobody was fooled, the dev team pretty much dropped it between the proverbial wall and counter, and slid away whistling.

i played some mods and they were all rather unballenced, belive me i have donbe everything, i played that game for about 100 hours once you have done it all you dont want to do so again.

now i have a calling to get into diablo II again but i fear for my social life :(

the kestral sucks because it has hardly any weapons space is not that fast and is still a pretty big target, my favorite ship of all time is a class IV pirate valkrine, the thunder forge is my favorite warship and it's pretty damn fast when it ha all the speed upgrades. and if you capture one on the polaris thread and kit it up with pulse capasitor lasers it's pretty damn kick ass with a fleet of carriers.

if only i could pit my valk against your kestral online.

I believe in the Ev-nova.net forum test the basic kestrel beat the basic valk IV. But your right the Valk is much better (IMHO the best combat ship in the game) I just like the nostalgic feel of the kestrel...

class 4 pirate valk with all the speed upgrades them blue laser things and loads of railguns and also with some more armor and sheilds :D.

nothing could beat me in that ship.
