if u read carefully, u can only install os x on a g3,g4, or g5. thus MACS ONLY. when will people understand this.. does it say anywhere u can install os x on a p4 or amd.. people look at the box or the web site and use common sense.

ummmm.... this is old news. Yes, hitchhiker, apple is coming out with a new version of OS X. And btw, I really don't think Tiger will work on your Dell notebook.

First off, that's PearPC.
Second off, PearPC is a slow pig.
Third off, there is a very good chance that if you save something under PearPC, it will not be there when you need it. (IE- PearPC crashes and kills your data.)

So I'm sorry, but If you have a PC laptop, you are limited to Windows XP or Linux and it's sisters and brothers (Red Hat, etc.)

Mac OS is made for Macs. Period.

Does anyone remember these? (http://forums.macrumors.com/search.php?searchid=476655)

"I have decided to switch back to PC after reading through a Dell catalog for a few hours. Why?

1. Dells are cheap

2. Apples are expensive and slow

3. Apple only has 3% Market share

4. Apples are toys, not real machines like PCs.

5. I don't want to "Think Different" , thank you!

6. My eMac is only 1 GHz, while my new Dell is 2.5 Ghz!"

"You guys were rght about my Dell. The Inspiduroncrapon laptop I ordered is dead. What do you sugget?"

Get a Mac so that won't happen again. Or, seriously, stick with one or the other. I've found that people that keep jumping back and forth between platforms keep doing so for a painfully long time. But I still recommend a Mac, because their easier and more effecient than PCs (except for gaming).

Question: Why should we not feed trolls? What's so bad about that?

I personally find nothing wrong with it. As long as you do not become a troll yourself, I think it's fine to feed trolls. (Occasionally it is fun, as in hitchhiker's case) :D
