Do you think a high percentage of mac users approve of or partake in the consumption (edibles/vape/smoking) of the lovely cannabis plant (if you live in an area where you legally can) ;)

I'm Cheech and you're Chong
Don't partake, but don't look down upon it
You don't approve

I think everyone knows my vote and I will attach a copy of how this post started lmao.

This is very hypothetical but, what would happen if Apple was to weigh it's options and decide to axe the idea of personal computers.

The discontinuation of the Mini, iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, and Macbook Pro lines FOREVER. The plan could be to try and remove the want of them in the first place so they could make less and less of them and finally none. It starts with someone having a desktop and a laptop, the laptops become fast enough that you can't justify NEEDING a desktop.

The next step is the Laptop vs Slate/Tablet/Whatever, in a few years they will be fast enough that people would think well I can do whatever I need on this Slate/Tablet/Whatever that do I need a laptop anymore? I'm guessing that it will be yes, because by then you will have your Slate/Tablet/Whatever and it will be connecting wirelessly with your monitor and peripherals to where it will basically be why have a smartphone anymore, lets just make this tablet even smaller and all the heavy lifting can be done with the Slate/Tablet/Whatever...

That is just until the speed/price/size of those very advanced smart phones that will have all the capabilities of the home users tablet/slate/device so then it goes.. Hmmm, why have a tablet when I have a smart phone that can do it all (basically carry it in your pocket set it on your desk and use wireless technology to connect to your peripherals and monitor.

Eventually it will start to devolve to a point where we can no longer communicate, because we are all obsessed in seeing some new crappy thing come out that most likely won't do what it says it does. Get people to somehow buy it and LOVE IT.

Are you currently high?

Or what does the THC debate have to do with Apple's fictional desire to produce no PCs anymore?

PS: I don't know you (but I'm not everyone), so I don't know your stance on THC consumption.

I also am not seeing what stance on Pot has to do with Apple hypothetically not making any more personal computers.

Enjoy your high:D

Lol, it has nothing to do with it but since it was what I was originally posting about before I was distracted I figured I should probably include it

Yeah, I don't know either. It's just a thought that came to me so I figured I'd share it.

Here's to hoping for new MacBook Pros with i5 and ATI 5-series!! I want to switch to a new 13 from a 15" (late 08 unibody) :D

Agreed, I was throughly confused after reading the OP. But maybe its just the fumes from his pot.

I don't follow the OP either, and I'm pretty toasted at the moment. Where I live both cannabis and Apple users are fairly well common and accepted, so there isn't normally a shortage of pot or macs.

The majority of stoners I know are pretty useless. I know less than 5 functional stoners, which is enough to put me off.

I went from "not for me but whatever" to general dislike of weed after seeing a generally nice, sweet guy turn into a complete arsehole. I've not seen him sober in over a year (and try not to see him anymore). He doesn't care about anything but getting stoned now and he's kind of a jerk as a result.

Normally I don't mind it, but it has a tendency to turn some people into complete wastes of oxygen and DNA.

Don't mind it, I just don't see the point. It feels less rebellious and exciting when you can just buy it over the counter.

My personal experience is that my arsehole tendencies are tempered by cannabis. The other change in attitude is that I seem to have less interest in money and possessions, although that could be a result of getting older moreso than being stoned.. Material things are very important to a lot of people so I could see how this would appear negative from a certain perspective, as it seems as if people are judged by society's definition of success rather than by their own level of happiness.
