No it won't be called either the iPad or the iTablet or anything else being thrown around the web (Newton, iZac etc.)
Just remember, you heard it here first, a week before anyone else could confirm the name of the device.

Don't believe me. Just keep this thread in mind next week when the name "iSlate" is finally unveiled.
And fyi, these are some of the upgrades that Apple wants to implement into their next iPhone iteration in July. Many of these features will find their way into the device.
1080p Video Recording
5.0 Megapixel Camera with Flash and a much much bigger lens so that it actually takes decent photos even in very low light situations
OLED Screen with 720 x 480 Resolution
2GHz Capable Cortex-A9 Processor
4G Capable
Wifi N
Bluetooth 3.0 With Wireless Syncing and File Transfers
64 GB
512MB-1GB of Ram
HD Antenna and TV Tuner (There are constantly hd tv signals being broadcast by ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. We will finally be able to tap into those signals so that we can watch tv on our phones wherever we are without using up AT&T and Verizon's bandwidth)
HD Radio Tuner & FM Transmitter
HDMI TV Out/Projector Out So We Can Run High Res Movies & Slideshows Stored on Our Phone onto our HDTVs.
A Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone (the same technology being used in the iSlate)
Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone will be much smaller, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen)
Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, only while connected to Wifi N
iChat Support
Flash Support (Yes you will finally be able to use Hulu on the iPhone)
RFID Chip & IR Chip (The iPhone will be usable as a universal remote)
Removable/Replacable Battery
Over the air sync with Macs, Apple TV, PC Servers etc, so that we can stream HD Videos off of PCs to iPhones anytime the end user has WiFi Access, the same method will enable streaming HD Content from iPhones to HDTVs
Touch sensitive corners so that apps can be used, and websites/newspapers can be scrolled without blocking the screen
Louder & Dual Speakers
A sexy looking gamepad addon that adds dual analog sticks and dual triggers to the iPhone
A new design that incorpates a much much bigger battery.
Available on both Verizon & AT&T

He has "sources" (or at least claims to) and is not revealing them. That basically makes him a card carrying journalist!

"Backlit OLED?" Dude, you lose credibility when you say crap like that (as if you had any to begin with).

And "1 Ghz of Ram"
Exactly the same typo I pointed out the first time he posted this list...
Also "louder dual speakers". Well, if any sound came out of the left grill then I'd say this feature would come true.
EDIT: is this guy posting all this JUST to see what typo's he's made or something? (like Gen XV 2GHz processor is now a more real sounding Cortex A9)

Sorry for the 1 Ghz typo. Working off of memory. It's been corrected.

By bigger, do you mean like a car battery? Because I'm pretty sure that's what we're going to need to get through a day with a phone like this.

I could go over your other points and explain why I think you're full of BS, but I'll hit on this point because it's the easiest to debunk. ATSC (fancy name for DTV signals) cannot be received while moving. Which means if you were right, you couldn't watch TV on the iPhone while moving. And that's something Apple will never go along with.

That was true with previous iPhones. But in October of last year, ATSC approved a mobile DTV over-the-air format made just for portable devices including cell phones. It will let you watch live broadcasts of H.264 video even while moving at high speeds. Apple played a role in this development.
You'll be hearing about the technology shortly I'm sure.

He posted this list here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=8991176&postcount=227), here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=8991176&postcount=219), and here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=8991788&postcount=1).
I guess his sources decided to up it to 1080p recording since he last posted this wish list

My sources confirm that this thread will be dismissed off hand. Next week, when the name of the Tablet is indeed revealed to be the "iSlate" a few users will give it some credibility. At some point later on, when the mobile DTV technology is publically announced, more people will start to take this seriously.
But it won't be until June of 2010 that some of the hardliners will finally start to come around.
