The movie was great, and it was a very nice gratuitous shot of the TiPB. I have to say that the product placement in the movie wasn't lacking, probably made out well.

Anyone know what one of those usually costs? How much did Apple drop to put the TiPB in the Movie?

D

I thought I remember hearing that apple doesnt pay for that stuff, it just shows up cause people want the best looking stuff in thier show/movie. But then again if it is as gratuitous as you say it might have had a price tag

i heard someware that Apple had a deal with most of the major motion picture companys, that they would show apples.
i dont know, i heard this when the imac first came out, so i am prolly wrong (nothing new).

if you want to see a sad flick, look at MI2 in the sceen when tom cruse is in the lab and jumps out the hole in the wall.
you can see some beautiful cinima Displays getting pumped full of lead:(

But did you know that they thank Apple Computer at the end of the credits...

I wonder why... :p

I heard that a lot of the post-production crew used Macs.

And apparently Apple even provided the stuff to be shot up....:)

There's nothing like some hidden cameos to boost market share.. :D :D

the ones that got destroyed were probably defective, or non working models...

If you thought that the TiBook in Austin Powers was nice, every computer in the movie was a Mac. There was a scene with some people in a white room, all using iBooks... The whole movie was full of Macs...

it would be fun to be able to just go and beat the ***** outta a display like that without worrying about the fact that it costs around $3000;)

Not to contradict or dispute: In Austin Powers 2, Austin used an "ACER" laptop to communicate. Remember them?

Bucking the tradition of most sequels, let alone the 3rd one in the series, I would have to say that Goldmember is the best of the bunch. I can't wait to get the DVD and see the outtakes and such. I might have to go see it a second time at the theaters though.....

i guess i'm the only one to dissent... i didnt really like the movie, wasn't nearly as good as the first one... tho i did love seeing DiVito :) and ozzy... it seemed like they just reused a lot of jokes, and went too far with that fat-bastard thing... *shudder*
