Hi I have a powermac G5 1gig ram 2ghz duel prosscessers.
I am running photshop CS suddenly it closes  then like 40 seconds later a box pops up saying program crashed! and then i can open it again because it says its open, then i get this rainbow cd spinning for about lets say 3 mins, then i can open photoshop again,
this happens like 2 times a day
i am working in 72 dpi
my files are about 5 meg each, i usaly have like 2 files open at a time
also photshop runs real slow, when moving around layers takes few seconds to respond,
i have tried reinstalling photshop and updating it
Pacman runs fine
what can i do?

As always, try repairing prmissions :) , prebinding , daily, weekly, monthly  (It gets bored, because it's what everyone recomemnds here) ... delete preference files, oh sorry before that uninstall PS, then do the above ...
install again, if it doesn't work, call adobe support and play Pacman, have fun!

Hey dude! You came here asking for help, I gave you all the first answers you would get here... calm down and be polite... is it that hard ?
Good boy, now I'd prefer you going nuts a long time before you solve your problem but because I wouldn't wish that for me, I won't bother myself sending you to the ... nevermind ;)
I'm not in my best day but not the worst ...

Here is what you do. You reach in to the screen and grasp the spinning rainbow cd. Keep hold of it untill you think you have controll of the situation. Once in complete control, yank it as fast as you can from the screen and insert it up your ass. Wait for the spinning to stop and then repeat several times.

I hate to bash this dude but. My mates work in Retouching houses and design houses. Using PS and Illustrator CS everyday. Its fine. One of my mates was working on one of my pics for me on his G5 dual 2ghz, with multiple layers, it was like 1.5Gb file size. it worked without a hitch. Whats this dude doing with 5meg files?
The word to use here is NOOB.
Amigo mac at some point in my iLife I might need a hand. might as well satrt today making some friends,
Having a day off today from the office staying home. Bashing another mac user wasnt what i intended to do.

First: Lock this thread
Second: I think we'd all have a lot more spare time if there was a big graphic on the homepage that says "It probably won't help but try repairing permissions first!"

I know what's wrong.
I have no interest or intention of helping.
