Alright, for all you developers trying out betas on the ti powerbooks, is the power management much improved in the the newer version, or is it relatively the same?

Battery usage is the same.

BUT, the Energy Saver prefpane is much improved, giving you presets for AC, battery power, etc. along with CPU priority settings as well.

Ok, stupid question, but just exactly is how big is the pb battery. I'm just curious on the dimensions. I wonder if it will fit in my backpack pocket...

Anyone else get the same batt life using a jag dev. seed? Its good to know the energy saver panel is improved :)

Well, I shouldn't have posted this thread in the rumors thread...oh well

The PB battery is about 4.25" x 4.5" x .75"

It'll fit pretty much anywhere.

Thanks Rower for answering my question. And thanks to whoever moved me to the right thread...but I still wonder from others whether batt life is also the same for the 10.2 dev. seeds...guess I won't much here though :o

I hope it has better controls than the current OS X energy saver preference pane. The OS 9 one gave me so much more options...

This is precisely the reason why I asked ;)

Uh bidge, is the the screen shot of the panel in 10.1 or 10.2? If 10.2, is this a recent dev. seed. Also, is there more features in the advanced tab?
