Just figured it was a milestone, so why not point it out. :)

Congratulations MacRumors on over 1 Million forum posts, and over 90000 forum threads. Communities like this don't just happen overnight, so I think every participating member deserves a pat on the back.

Avatars are a great thing....might be time for me to change mine actually, I try to rotate them about once a week, not sure how long I;ve had this one now

Wouldn't it be fun if someone came along and rivaled you, edesignuk, for the prettiest avatar of the week...?

Ha! Right! You might be on a soapbox, but you've got her on a very tall pedestal :D

She is nice, though. But I have to say after seeing her interviewed (and this was discussed earlier and iGav agreed with me on this one) that she is a bit, ah, dim in some ways. Not at all like the characters she tends to play.

I think this thread would be a perfect time to look back on thread 500.

Don't we already have one thread devoted solely to this woman?

Maybe all this discussion should be taken there. Or start another thread so we can get closer to 100,000 threads

I don't see many familiar names though in that bunch, amazing how many 'newbies' have taken this board to a new level.

funny, though. Some of those guys still post infrequently. But that was quite some time ago....before my time.

I always look back at that thread just to read how many people said that Jobs was retarded and that iPod's would never sell. Amazing how wrong they were...

They no longer allow this because it would get too confusing if people kept changing their name all the time. It was ok when there were only a few hundred members, and maybe only a handful of regular posters, But now with over 40,000 members with hundreds posting regularly, it'd be a nightmare.

Yes. No one starts a thread in the wasteland - they just end up there :D

Its a data base thing, actually. The only time you won't be able to see a thread is if it had been deleted....I imagine that there have only been a hand full over the years though.

It's now at the online Apple Store!

$400 for an Mp3 Player!

I'd call it the Cube 2.0 as it wont sell, and be killed off in a short time...and it's not really functional.

Uuhh Steve, can I have a PDA now?

HA HA HA HA. OMG to funny!

I love these old threads.

Maybe it'd be a claim better suited for thread 100,000, but I started thread 1,000!

Yes, I realize nobody cares. :)

EDIT: i just realized how old this thread was... who bumped it and why? More importantly, when'd we hit 100k?
