Assuming you PB is stock, $1,400 might be just a tad bit too high. Although still a pretty good price, if you include all the cables, manuals, CDs, etc.
I say it's a tad to high because you can get a re-furb for about $1,350.

Don't take my word for it, I've never been too good at price guessing. I'd say $1,400 is fairly possible with an extra 256 RAM. Maybe you could go to eBay and see what PowerBooks like yours are going for.

err, apple dose have the 30 day thing at least in the uk, give OS X a chance, what is bugging you exactly?, if it's the user interface (mouse speed second mouse button) then it's easyly fixed via third party software that is free.
tell us what you dont like about it, most likely it would be an easy fix.

I would say any switchers need to adjust the mouse with usb overdrive for starters. On top of that, I highly recommend the missing manual Panther Edition for OS X. I think my copy ran me $30 but it really helped. The other problem is you really need a G4 at a minimum to switch as the G3's just don't have the speed that PC based users are acustomed to(speed of the interface).

Yeah, I'd understand if OS X just doesn't thrill you as much as you were anticipating, or just doesn't do that much for you, preference-wise; but it seems a shame to dump a nice new Powerbook after less than a month.
Any specific issues we might be able to help you with? Or is this just more of a "meh, this isn't all that" kind of reaction (which is perfectly valid)?

i love some of the ideas like expose finder and the 1 button thing because of ctrl
the mouse speed would be cool if you could give me a link, thats bugging me

i dont like how theres not alot of diff programs for it
between my dads 600m and the pb i thought it would be 10x better, its not worst, its just better , i thought it was gonna be excellent
