How often do you burn music?

Here's another:

How often do you burn music for listening for your car/stereo/what have you? Do you use mp3 format? Do you use CD-RW disks? Who's up for this?

PS: You can respond with more than one response, especially if you burn mp3 disks.

i only burn disks for my buddys and i always do it at 160 just because
but other that i use my iBook and soon an ipod

I only burn CD's for other peopl, used to have a discman until I got my iPod , now I've got it all in my pocket to listen to. If I want to put music on my MD I will put it onto a CDRW and use my optical connection on my DVD player.

I very rarely burn CD's for personal use.

I don't, generally. When I buy a new CD I rip it at 160 and then put the CD in a protective bag in the Big Black Metal Cabinet.

Periodically, if I'm very taken with an album, I'll burn a copy of it from iTunes as a "car copy".

Man. I completely forgot about the iPod.

So, how often do you [sync] to the iPod and at what quality?

I usually sync whenever I get a new album, which, on average, comes once every week or two. I transfer the songs to mp3 at 192Kbps.

I personally find it impossible to forget my iPod, I sync it most days for weather etc. but I sync it with music at 160 and whenever I get new music, don't buy CD's, too poor, they are twice the price in NZ. So I sync when I download music or I borrow a CD from a friend.

All right. Here's why I didn't think of it.

I am listening to music via the iPod plugs, but the plug is connected to my iBook. While I was packing music into my drums I thought back to the heXbox and the CD-RW mp3 player in my room in NJ (yes, I miss home) and I remember using disks to transfer songs back and forth (especially before the iPod).

Even though the cd player inside my new truck can handle MP3 cd's, I haven't bothered yet. Maybe since most of the trips I take with it are about 1 cd long (or less).
