besides telling them to settle down there's nothing really we can do - closing the threads wouldn't be a solution and way too time consuming.

what works best is peer pressure, if enough people get frustrated with the stupidity, it usually works itself out - I think that's starting to happen now.

I don't mind them - they've generally stayed in the appropriate forums, they're easy to ignore, occasionally fun to participate in, and I suspect that if they're just left alone the mania for polls will burn itself out soon enough, whereas closing them will create an unquenchable burning desire for more polls.

I'm surprised nobody has posted a "What's your favorite poll?" poll yet. No, don't even think about it...

i sent a post to the underwear thread that didn't take

it was about two rich, spoiled kids who lived at home and worked for me and they are already in their 30s...mom cleans out stains in underwear and irons them for the spoiled brats

these are two three hundred pound guys living in the room the size of a walk in closet

when parents kick bucket, kids take house which is worth a pretty penny (in no. calif.) but parents and kids have heart of gold anyway...reality is what you make it and the common lifestyle of many rich momma's boys is living at home for the rest of eternity;) :D
