eyeTV, anyone?

Just wondering if any of you have bought El Gato's EyeTV TiVo-like-gadget. I want one really badly, but I want to get some feedback on it before I take the plunge.

I'm also a person who wants get one. They look soo sleek and also, you can record tv shows and movies to ur hard disk, which is even better. 200 bucks is a little pricy for a utility like this , but it should be worth it. Go get it if u don't care about forking out 200 bucks for this. Hope this helps.

It certainly looks interesting. I'd like to see t.v. and audio system converge with the computer. :)

You should try the AVS Forum. (http://www.avsforum.com) Most of it's for PCs, but there's a lot of useful info anyway.

I read quite a few reviews about this thing, because I wanted one, and none of them were favorable. One of them even went so far as to say that he had to restart the programming 4 or 5 times a day. I will try to find where that review was and post a link.

Here's the link to the reviews I was talking about. I guess they were not all bad after all. The one after Frank's is pretty bad, but overall not too shabby.
