wondering how much people would pay for it. It's got normal wear and tear on it, but nothing too horrible.

Where its a G4 and the new iBooks are 999 for 1.2 ghz, I'd say you could get like $600 out of it.

There is another thread with a G3 800mhz iBook going for $750. While I find the $750 for the G3 to be extremely overpriced, for the G4 with the added ram, I would think $700-$750 would be a reasonable price. Just out of curiosity, does it have a combo drive?

it does have a combo drive. plus, it also has applecare until 2007. wouldn't the added applecare bump up the cost in this also?

Oh yeah, the Apple Care would take it up to like 700 or that

Based on what these things are going for on eBay, I'd ask for $900.

A used iBook G4 800 mhz with only 256mb RAM and no Applecare has been bid up to $810, which, in my opinion, is incredibly overpriced. But hey, people overpay on eBay, so why not take advantage of it.
Just to get a sense of how overpriced this really is, consider that Apple offers a refurb 1.0 ghz iBook with 1 year warranty for $799. You can get a used AE card for under $50.
I'd say the base iBook 800 mhz is worth about $650. Add another $50 for the RAM, $50 for the AE, and $150 for the Applecare and you end up with about $900. The problem is that people often don't add up all the extras appropriately when considering the final price.
