Hio all, i need a bit of advice, I'm buying a G4 Cube for 1000 buxx, it comes with all this stuff:
Mac OSX ver 10.1.5
Adobe Photoshop 7
40 GB Hard drive
450 Mhz PowerPC G4 Processor
640 MB RAM
DVD ROM drive
56K Modem
10/100 Ethernet port
Airport Card for wireless networking
Apple Pro Key board
Apple Pro Mouse(optical)
2 Harman Kardon speakers and AC adaptor
Comes w/ manuals and original CD's in original packaging

Is this a good deal, and does anyone know where i can get a really cheap monitor

I would say $1000 would be a great deal for a 450MHz Cube, CD Burner and the speakers. I know that when I got my monitor and 500MHz G4 Cube over a year ago it was around $2000 total (I got a Fct.Ref. Apple 15 inch for $529).
For cheap monitors (mostly CRT) go to www.smalldog.com
For cheap RAM go to www.18004memory.com
Try www.dealtime.com for a large selection of monitors. Specify CRT/LCD and a number for inch size for a monitor.

i'd be willing to sell my 450 cube with a gig of ram, 80gig 7200 seagate barracuda, dvd, os10.1.5, and a 15" lcd apple studio display for $1400.. but uh.. yours sounds fair too... :)
good luck!

Photoshop 7 is still worth $550 to $600 alone. Are you getting the PS 7.0 media (CD, any literature, etc.) as well? If not, $1k is still a fair deal for the specs of the Cube alone, IMHO.

If the computer comes installed with any software, I think it has no value.

sounds like a nice deal, in fact i was thinkin of doing the same thing, right before i got my 17" iMac. i couldn't decide which, cause the cube is a very nice machine. good luck with it:)
