If you have never seen/heard of this series before, then this won't be as funny. The reason I'm posting it is because new SBEmails are released every Monday. This was released in addition to last Monday's. So you may not have known about it. It's not an actual SBEmail, because the actual ones are submitted by people.

This is definitely one of my favourites, but it was this Monday's new StrongBad email (the site was last updated on Monday, the link "new strong bad email" takes you to this episode, etc.). Montage is from the week before.

Anyway--there are a couple things that (I think) might have happened for this email--

1) As you suggested, they just made it up.
2) Someone emailed a bunch of random letters/numbers (kinda like the classic fhqwhgads email)--and they made up the virus story
3) They got a virus in an attachment on some email (and obviously didn't open it), and it inspired them to do this email.

Whatever gave them the idea, this was a great one!

This one is also one of my favorites! The sbemails need to be "shaken up" every once in awhile, and this was a good one.

Of couse this isn't the first time his computer has gotten destroyed.

And, he will repalce it, just like he did last time (although, he repaired his last one, and used it a bit longer. It was a Tandy 400. He replaced it with a Compy 386.):

Actually... recall that the fhqwhgads email acutally said:

Remember the "i love you" virus? That "fhqwhgads..." is actually part of the viral attachment in text form. If you used a text-only email client, presumably that's what you would see. That's what I read somewhere, anyway. Just a bit of trivia.
