Updating Folders

Is there a way to update/sync folders between my PB and iMac? I can connect them and just transfer the folder manually, but as time goes on I don't exactly remember which files are most update to date on which and sometime they both have more up to date files than the other.

Back in my dark days I could use briefcase, but I can't find a similar feature in OS X yet.
