The link gives me "The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store." I did find it in a search though.

I've been playing it for a bit and just posted an itunes review (5*) so i'll post it below...
I’ve been waiting ages for this game, i have the Xbox 360 version and this game feels like a direct port rather than some slap dash attempt at a golf game, Ok so the graphics are not as good but they are reasonable for the iPhone so no complaints from me. You have two options when you first start the game (after making your own very basic golfer) Play now (which has a save option in case you are interrupted) and the PGA tour. Play now supports 4 players (offline) for all that multiplayer goodness, there are a number of rules (stroke, match, skins etc) and the option for team play. There are seven courses each with 18 holes and for a mobile game thats quite a lot more than i expected, you can even choose how many you would like to play (front 9, back 9, random 3 etc) if you feel the need for a quick game on the go.
Once your in the game and had a quick preview of the hole your playing and a random bit of talk from the commentators you’ll find the controls are very easy pick up with all the options from the main console game (club selection, targeting, ball spin, putting grid and preview etc). The swing option is a meter down the right hand side of the screen where you move your finger up and down, the straighter your movements the better the shot.
I have to say i am very impressed that the game has the number of features it does, its easy to pick up and play and EA deserve credit for making the game even if by iPhone standards it is a little expensive (£5.99). I feel the replay ability factor for this game well justifies the price. Usually i am very disappointed with EA games but this is good.

So a follow up really, i've been playing a few more games and only encountered one crash on the 13th hole. As soon as i saw the black screen (of doom?) and then my homepage i panicked a little as i was doing really good but fortunately as soon as i tapped back on the icon it returned me to my game, crisis averted.
I don't know if its just me but the game seems a little easy :D yes i've had the odd bad shot thats landed in the sand but i have had no trouble matching par. However my enthusiasm for the game remains and i look forward to starting the PGA tour which makes the hefty price tag seems a little easier to swallow.

Stop back and report more when you can. There are no reviews showing in iTunes yet. I love the other platforms so i'm a little hesitant on the iPhone b/c of the cost.

Well? I just spent the last hour or so playing the game. Although i feel it's still a little too much $ the game is still worth it. The controls are easy to learn and use and I did not have any problems thru 36 holes. No crashes etc. The graphics are a little weak (only my opinion) but never-the-less still look great.
I experienced no slow downs or lag or anything that would indicate the game was having issues on the iPhone. I will be playing this one a lot. If the game was $4.99 I would feel a little better about recommending it to someone. Given the high cost for an iPhone game I'm a little nervous about doing that b/c i know some people would be upset if they did not like it after spending $9.99.
4/5 from me. Gets a five if the graphics improve and the price goes down.

Well that figures - I just bought Let's Golf! last weekend.
For those that have played both, how does this compare? One of the things that bugs me about Let's Golf (aside from it crashing all the time) is that you can't select from all clubs on every shot - meaning you can't putt from the fringe, etc. But the graphics are outstanding and look better than the TW screenshots here.

Along with many others, I too was hesitant to buy tiger woods based on screenshots depicting what i thought were crappy graphics when compared to let's golf. however, being the golf nut that i am, i went ahead and purchased it. And I do not regret it at all. I can't believe how much more i enjoy playing tiger woods over let's golf. As others have mentioned, let's golf is very arcadey and cartoonish and doesn't give you a "real" golf simulation. Tiger woods on the other hand is much more realistic and gives you the player, far more control over what clubs you use, how you shape your shot, and how you control it, spin wise, power wise, hook/fade/draw/slice, etc. Simply awesome. graphics in tiger woods is not on par with let's golf, however i have zero lag in tiger woods whereas i get hiccups in the framerate in let's golf all the time. So the decision to make tiger woods less graphical in order to maximize framerates in my opinion was well worth it. the graphics aren't horrible mind you and you don't even notice the graphics because you're so busy getting your next shot off.
This game is awesome for lack of a better word and if anyone enjoys golf and felt let's golf was too restricting and a bit lacking, then tiger woods will certainly fill that craving for a true golf simulation.

Why do people think $9.99 is expensive?
I might have to pick this game up... It looks pretty sweet. I can't even play one real round of golf for $10.;)

Yeah I hate this as well. When you have a short chip its much harder to land it close than it would be to just putt it. I love the multiplayer it has but my roommates and I have gotten a lot of network errors. Which is pretty annoying.

I have to disagree with the people saying that the graphics look really nice. I think for a $10 game from a big developer like EA, the graphics are crap.

how can anyone think a game of this complexity is overpriced at $10?!
You can't even by half (actually more like one quarter) of a PSP game for that price!

+1! 10 bucks isn't really that much considering that a PSP game of this caliber would probably cost 3, maybe 4 times as much

I've been playing it for the last couple days and it's well worth the 9.99. Excellent framerate, great graphics, awesome game play. It's more like a port of the console version and not some slapped together POS. If you are a fan of the series you won't be disappointed.

With everyone in that mindset, how can we expect big games that cost a lot of money to develop to make it onto the iPhone? A game that costs more to make will cost more to buy. Also, the same game would be $30+ new on any other platform. So just be glad you're saving $20.

So is it definitely worth buying? I want to get it for my dad's birthday.

Worth buying yes. But the graphics could and should be better. Lets golf puts it in the shade for graphics but for overall gameplay it's well worth it.

Hahaha well? Seems a few have read my text and have drawn the wrong conclusion. I agree with you about the comparison etc, etc. I am looking more towards what things cost on ave. in the app store currently. You have to admit, there are some pretty sweet apps that cost much less in the app store. Even when you compare them to the same app on another platform they are still very inexpensive and that has been a great perk for iPhone/iPT users. I know it was just a matter of time before developers start raising the bar on both quality and price. I'm just one who has enjoyed the low cost of some great stuff.

Just d/l this and love it so far. Not sussed the aiming or putting yet. It seems pretty much shoot at the screen that comes up and you won't go far wrong. Can't help but feel there should be more to it tho, especially wrt putting.

Not sure what game you're playing but it's not as simple as just flick your finger and the ball lands where you want it to. First off, i find that the club selection is off, especially if you're in the rough. In the rough you need to hit with a longer club if you want to get the distance that you're looking for. Using the default club from the rough, well you'll most likely wind up short, way short. With the way you can shape your shots with fades, draws, etc. and choose between pitching, punching, flopping, etc. there are a lot of variety to what shot to play and how to play it and the default, suggested way usually doesn't work out well from the rough. From the fairway, the suggested club usually works out well.
Also, as far as putting is concerned, turn off caddy tips from the game options screen and also don't use the putt path drawing feature and you'll quickly find yourself 2-3 putting if not more.

Yea, figured that, now I've played a few more rounds. Sussed the aiming and stuff and even the putting. Even managed to be given a handicap (though not a good one at 25. At least now I can work on improving it by actually knowing what I'm doing.
Lovin this game but it sure sucks the battery.

Getting used to the game now. But sometimes when putting even if you only have say 1 yard to go and you use 100% power the put doesn't reach the hole??? What am I doing wrong?

You have to follow the caddy's tip and adjust the aim.

I haven't played this iPhone version, but on the console you have several different putters. Often, if you have a 4 or 5 foot putt and the game by default puts the 5 foot putter in your hand, it won't be enough, in particular if it's an uphill putt. I always switch to the 10 foot putter in those situations. Don't know if it's the same on the iPhone, but it's worth checking out.

No, it's a single putter.

Wow, not sure why they did it like that. I can understand having a single putter, but one that won't get the ball to the cup when you hit it at 100% sounds like a mistake, even if it only happens occasionally.

It's more complex than that, if you just hit it 100% without reading the green, then you are bound to miss - either by falling short or overshooting it. You have to read the green and make adjustments, just like actual golf.

Agreed, it is too easy. My first Pro Tour I romped home 6 shots clear of second place. Putting is a simple one-shot attempt (frequently collecting $1000 for long sinks) and the wind, while nice to have, is far to easy to correct for.
All in all a good game but not of sufficient challenge.

How do you turn off Putt Preview? I have turned off Caddie Tips and only use Putt Preview on the tough putts and it is still way too easy. I haven't played through the full set of tournaments yet, I'm hoping the courses get harder as you go but right now after 4 tourneys I am whipping the field.

Literally every event I play in I come in about 20-45 shots ahead.
I started off with caddy tips but turned that off trying to make it harder but once you get the feel for the grid system it is just as easy.
I was hoping to find a difficulty setting somewhere. It just get a little tedious when mathematically you can "Stroke Limit Exceeded" the last 5-8 holes and still win. The annoying part of the game is that you still have to play those last holes as well.
Good game but once you have managed to get it there is little it can offer. I feel after 4 days of use and having won the PGA tour that the game is finished as it can't really offer me much. I wan't it to be ridiculously hard, like real golf.

Caddy tips for me are useless, that's not my problem. My problem is you can't disable putt preview, and it's too tempting for me. So really for me I'm the problem.

The app is 160MB so it is quite big. How fast is your internet? It took about 8 minutes to download and install on mine.
