Hello,

I followed these instructions for setting up file sharing between an XP box and a 10.5.6 Mac:

http://macs.about.com/od/macwindows/ss/sharemacfilesxp.htm

I went with the SMB user account sharing option.

I see "Macintosh" in my XP's network window yet when I click on it I get this:

networkerror.jpg

(In XP I'm logged into an admin account.)

?

Thanks.

Easier way:
START > RUN
add the IP of the Mac like mine:
\\192.168.1.111
login, make shortcuts on the desktop of the folders you want to access.
Make you Mac DHCP with a static address so it never changes.
Map it if you want to do it that way:
\\192.168.1.111\user
