It's odd, because as much as I consider myself pretty "eclectic" with my music tastes, I never could really get into listening to Tom Waits.

I got several of his albums, due to their generally good reviews and the fact that the man himself struck me as an interesting and creative guy. (I read an interview with him in our local paper last year that I found particularly intriguing.)

But I couldn't get past how slow-paced most of his material seemed.... It sounds like he's perpetually drugged out on tranquilizers or something.

About the only song I've enjoyed so far with him in it was a "Christmas Sucks" tune he did with Peter Murphy.
