Has any one who does not have the ATI 4850 upgrade run software update and installed the update? My iMac wants me to, but I don't have any problems right now. I've never put my computer to sleep while in Boot camp, and never need to anyway. Anyone else tried it yet?
I started a new thread b/c I don't want to clutter up the threads just for 4850 folks.

I have the GT130 and I just ran software update and I have the 4850 update too..
Should I install it ? Is it recommended to do so??
Thanks for the info!

I just installed it on my GT 120 because it resolves more issues than the 4850 freezing. Worked fine.

DON'T DO IT! It messes everything up. It didn't even install fully before my system froze and I had to restart. I lost my Windows partition, and things are slow and sluggish now. I will restore with Time Machine first thing tomorrow, then have to contact Apple. Also have to contact Apple to get a 4th keyboard replacement b/c the right arrow key does not work; oh and a replacement Wireless Mouse because it doesn't scroll to the left (2 issues not related to this update, but a lot to contact Apple about).

How do you know your system froze? Mine went just fine.

after I hit install in software update, the beachball just froze, nothing happened, 10 min later I rebooted. That's when my Windows boot disappeared, Parallels can't even find it. Things are slow and sluggish.
