How long does it take to know if you have a few years in C++ and C? I tried to search this in the Wiki but there is little about OpenGL ES in it (unless I missed something)

Hi

ES is a subset of OpenGL so I would recommend you get yourself a copy of the red book and read it in conjunction with the ES reference (http://www.khronos.org/opengles/sdk/1.1/docs/man/). You'll soon get an understanding of what's in ES and what's not... but basically no immediate mode and no shaders. However I would recommend learning the basics of OpenGL first on your Mac using GLUT. There are loads of tutorial/demo sites on the web for OpenGL and GLut. Once you've got an understanding of OpenGL, the ES reference is all you need really.
