I'm about to buy my first cell phone. I'm not a huge talker, so I'm going for prepaid.

I don't own a credit card, so I'll have to pay by debit.

Is it as simple as walking into the Virgin store, buying the phone and a prepaid card, and activating it, or will I need to use my parents credit card (with permission of course :D ) to activate?

Thanks

No credit carded needed with Virgin Mobile. You can pay with prepaid cards, debit card, bank account and even paypal.

I have virgin mobile because I am always loosin my phone. Even with insurance, a new phone with sprint was 50 bucks and you had to have it mailed to you. I can find virgin phones all day long on sale for ten dollars.

I'm in Vancouver, Canada.

Trying to find a sub-$70 phone that isn't butt-ugly. Pantec - YUCK.

Virgin Mobile is good, I have two phones with them.

Though the 7/11 one is pretty good too from what I hear

Do NOT get Telus or Bell brands
