BootCamp Linux?

Why does Apple only offer BootCamp for Windows and no Linux (Ubuntu for example)?

Linux is much closer and a friend of OS-X than Windows anyway. I really hope with SnowLeopard and the next BootCamp update we'll be able to get Linux installed on Mac's effortlessly (now too many workarounds to get all drivers working properly).

Because linux switchers will tend to switch to OSX and be comfortable. And like OSX - linux counts for a very small market share. Besides Linux has been able to run on mac's natively even when PowerPC architecture was there.

Bootcamp was designed to facilitate Windows Switchers into purchasing mac hardware, and as windows is the most used operating system - the fact that Apple facilitate new users by allowing them to run there old OS for tasks which the mac still struggles to offer any abundance of (games etc..) then this means apple sells one more mac to someone who may otherwise have bought a dell of sony.

Its about the $
