I don't know a whole lot about css...I have a general overall understanding.

I started a wordpress the other day, and used one of the free themes posted on one of smashingmagazines articles.

I copy/pasted the css into the designated area...it looks like crap.
...and nothing like the theme should.

Does anyone know, if I need to paste only a portion of the info?

I realize this isn't myspace. :D

Thanks for any info.

Thats not really how Wordpress themes work. To use a Wordpress theme you need to upload the theme to your "Themes" folder on your web host and then go into the admin panel of your Wordpress site and choose that theme. You can tweak things and change things by messing with the css but it is designed so that you never have to see or know css unless you want to go that next level.

You need the entire theme including the PHP files and images folder. The whole theme folder needs to be uploaded to your themes folder on your server, and then enabled through the wordpress dashboard. The style sheet is only a small piece of a WP theme.
