Latest version of Skype and JB 2.2.1 doesn't work

Hi guys,

I installed skype yesterday and today but after installing it comes out with the following error 'This version of Skype works only on Unmodified iPhone OS 2.2' and exits out of the app.

I have restarted the iphone a few times but the same thing keeps on appearing and exiting.:confused:

I have Mobile Subtrate already installed! Do I need to install voipover3g first then install skype?

You could well have used the search feature and found out that this was last months news.

Also, warnings went out through the internet about the new Skype version and jailbroken iPhones.

I'm aware of that, but does it still work? And if it does with which version of skype?

I've checked around but other guys can still use skype, I can't even open it up!:(

yes it does work. You don't need to install anything in any particular order.. you just need mobilesubstrate+voipover3g+skype.

I've downloaded all three of them and I'm still getting the same error.

I have rebooted it and it still happens!

Any other suggestions from anyone PLEASE:confused:

have you tried deleting skype from your iphone and then reinstalling?
I got that msg the first time I opened skype but then it hasn't happened since.

Just tried it out, still doesn't work!:mad:
