Is it me or are we in the worst era of beer commercials ever?

I can't handle the ridiculously stupid "Miller for President" campaign and the completely idiotic "I...love...blah, blah, blah-blah-blah. Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah...And the twins!" Brilliant (http://www.guinness.com/guinness/en_US/seeing/ads/0,6436,12687267_125875,00.html)!?! No!

What happened to "Less Filling, Tastes Great"? Spuds Mackenzie (http://www.animationstation.net/title/4377.html)? (Oh wait he was electrocuted or something). Lando Calrissian pitching Colt 45? Anyone? No?

Now I'm all for chicks with big boobs wrestling in fountains, but is it really that hard to come up with something original?

Oh man, I miss the old "miller time" commercials....the best was the guy who was like a test guy, and he would jump down flights of stairs and stuff holding a bottle of MGD, and fill out his checklist....man i miss that one

They use something you will remember, even some of the stupid ads are so dumb you will remember them anyway, it's all about getting the product name across. If they all were to go to ads that were funny, people wouldn't distinguish the brands as much.

Well advertisers know ads don't work well anymore..

They are always trying to find new ways of getting through to the viewer.

Like Adult-Swim's anti-advertisements.

They have a bunch of black and white slides with text, original and catches your attention.

There has been a dearth in creativity recently.

Sad really.

i've been tired of those labatt blue commercials with the bear after viewing them. and they run those all the time, some from years ago. and the "I CAN'T TASTE MY BEER!" commercial is really annoying. that ran for like 3 months.

The Guiness ads are still going strong, and are always good. But I am missing the Fosters ads

New Wingdog ad sucks balls. :(

That's what I'm saying. Why can't those marketing geniuses be happy with one solid "Wingman", "Wazzup", etc. Noooo, they have to beat the concept to death and, like many things, the sequal is never as good as the original.

I did like the "Dominoes" campaign, but that ad agency wasted that concept on Miller.

One commercial that I liked was for the army.

It was the no 2nd place, no silver medal, no do-overs, no mulligans.
